Containerboard research, including papermaking, corrugating
and converting, assists in the understanding and improvement
of the functional performance of fundamental materials and
end products. Papermaking research has included wet end studies
and the development of unique or improved materials. Corrugating
research has focused on adhesive evaluation, machine and paper
runnability, and specialty material development and performance.
With conventional facilities and unique capabilities, converting
research has included evaluations of score cracking, flute
fracture, hi-lo’s, green bond development, compressive
creep failure, and much more. With unique pilot equipment,
extensive testing facilities, and considerable knowledge and
experience, the Institute of Paper Science and Technology can
help resolve your performance and development issues.
