Dr. Pu received his Bachelor degree in 1994, Master degree in 1997 from Northeast Forestry University, and Ph.D. degree from South China University of Technology in 2000. Subsequently, he joined the Institute of Paper Science and Technology as a postdoc. Currently he is a senior research scientist at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dr. Pu’s research efforts have been focused on biomass characterization, biomass to biofuels, high selective oxygen delignification, lignin photobleaching, nano-whisker composites, pulping and bleaching.
