THE WORLD OF PAPER
POTENTIAL HOST MUSEUM INFORMATION
OR
"JUST THE FACTS PLEASE"

PUBLIC RELATIONS PROGRAMS:

  • The host museum will receive JPGs of public relations photographs, and a public relations release and calendar listing.
  • Arrangements for the opening celebration are the responsibility of the host museum. The Robert C. Williams Paper Museum will provide suggestions on activities for this event, mailing lists from local paper companies, and will supply a papermaking activity for your visitors.

DETAILS...DETAILS...DETAILS...

Personnel:

  • Two representatives from the Robert C. Williams Paper Museum assist in the set up and takedown of the exhibition. The host museum is responsible for providing additional personnel and equipment to set-up and take down. Equipment includes dollies, a forklift (if you do not have a loading dock) and tools.
  • Travel arrangements for transporting the exhibit to and from your museum will be made by the Robert C. Williams Paper Museum.

Space:

  • The exhibition can be culled at your location. The museum must provide cases with Plexi or glass tops.
  • The host museum must make arrangements to store the crates while the exhibition is at your location.

Costs:

  • The rental fee for the exhibitions is $20,000. This includes all transportation arrangements, public relations packet JPGs and sample, and representatives from the museum to assist your staff in the set up and take down of the exhibition. The transportation costs will be pro-rated but usually run approximately $5,000.
  • The host museum is responsible for all insurance for the exhibition during the stay and to the next location. Most museums simply add a rider to their current policy.
  • The host museum is responsible for either providing or hiring labor dedicated to helping with the set up and take down of the exhibitions.
  • The host museum is responsible for hosting an opening celebration to include the guest list provided by the Paper Museum.
