Crow watermark

Snow and Crow

Snow and Crow was made by the tesuri-kako-ho, or hand-rubbing method. The plate engraving was done by Kinnojo Kawashima. The watermark depicts a crow perched on a blossoming branch covered in snow. The word for crow in Japanese is karasu. The word for scarecrow is kakashi.
