Ch'ao Fu Leading His Ox

This watermark was based on a painting by Eitoku Kano. Eitoku was the grandson of the second founder of the Kano school of Japanese painting, Motomonobu Kano. Ch'ao Fu Leading His Ox was made by the tesuri-kako-ho, or hand-rubbing method. The plate engraving was created by Kinnojo Kawashima.
