In 2006 the IPC/IPST Alumni Association Board Members agreed to re-establish itself as a new independent 501(c)(3) and change its name to The Paper Institute Heritage Foundation. The new name for the Foundation was chosen to reflect the Association’s past history and continued mission.
The Foundation’s vision is to build on the strengths of IPST at Georgia Tech to help establish the IPST Center as an international leader in education, research, and service relevant to the pulp and paper industry. The Foundation believes it is important in the long term to provide support for student recruiting, research, programs, internships, and placement that help prepare them for successful careers in the Pulp and Paper Industry. The Foundation also believes that to accomplish this it is critical to help support the faculty and staff of IPST at Georgia Tech. The Heritage Foundation’s fund raising efforts will continue to support the IPST endowment and special IPST programs for students and faculty. |
